CNMI SCHOLARSHIP MONTH

In celebration of the CNMI Scholarship Month, the CNMI Scholarship Office invites all current or aspiring college students to attend the Mini Scholarship Fair on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Multi-Purpose Center.

Students will have the opportunity to meet scholarship providers from the CNMI and learn more about the programs and financial aid options available for our CNMI Residents! Eligible students will also be able to win mini-scholarships! Winners will be announced at the end of the event!

MINI SCHOLARSHIP RAFFLE 

In celebration of CNMI Scholarship Month, the Scholarship Office have mini scholarships available to jumpstart aspiring students who wish to pursue a post-secondary education or obtain a certificate in the trades.  Students who are currently enrolled this Fall 2017 are also encouraged to participate as it will defray the cost of education. 

The following criteria have been developed to determine eligibility for the Mini Scholarship Raffle in celebration of CNMI Scholarship Month 2017.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Must be a United States citizen
  2. Must be a registered voter
  3. Must be a resident of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands three years prior to enrollment (2014, 2015, 2016)
  4. Must be present at the one of the following:
    • Scholarship Community Outreach on
      1.   Tinian, Nov 24th from 1-3 pm @ Tinian Gym
      2.   Rota, Nov 22nd from 6-8 pm @ the Rota Community Round House
    • Mini Scholarship Fair on Nov 25, 2017, between the hours of 1-3pm
  5. Must visit all participating providers and partner booths and complete their Fair Passport
  6. Must submit a copy of their current class schedule *
  7. Must have a valid proof of citizenship *
  8. Must have proof of CNMI residency for 2014, 2015 & 2016 *

High School Students

  1. Must be a Junior or Senior in high school who will be enrolled in a dual/early enrollment program in Spring 2018
  2. Will be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education or trade school in Fall 2018.

College Students

  1. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree or certificate program in Fall 2017 or anticipates enrollment in Spring or Fall 2018.
  2. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits.

RESTRICTIONS

  1. Scholarship is not transferable.
  2. Scholarships must be claimed no later than October 31, 2018.
  3. Not available to graduate/post graduate students.

FUNDING SOURCE

Mini Scholarships are funded by the CNMI Scholarship Office made available by collection of defaulted student loans.
