Award Amounts
Award amounts for the Academic Year
All scholarships are available through annual appropriations and are contingent upon the availability of funds. Annual award amounts may vary from year to year depending on the appropriations per fiscal year. The following are approved (possible) award amounts per program based on applicant eligibility:
EAP Semester System (2 Terms Annually)
Freshman – Sophomore
- Base Grant: $750.00
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $600.00
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Program: $300.00
Maximum Per Semester Term: $1,650.00 | Total Maximum Annually: $3,300.00
Junior - Senior
- Base Grant: $750.00
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $600.00
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Program: $300.00
- Jr./Sr. Incentive Award: $450.00 (for students who are enrolled in 15 or more credits & have a CGPA of 3.5 or higher)
Maximum Per Semester Term: $2,100.00 | Total Maximum Annually: $4,200.00
EAP Quarter System (3 Terms Annually)
Freshman – Sophomore
- Base Grant: $500.00
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $400.00
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Program: $200.00
Maximum Per Quarter Term: $1,100.00 | Total Maximum Annually: $3,300.00
Junior - Senior
- Base Grant: $500.00
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $400.00
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Program: $200.00
- Jr./Sr. Incentive Award: $300.00 (for students who are enrolled in 15 or more credits & have a CGPA of 3.5 or higher)
Maximum Per Quarter Term: $1,400.00 | Total Maximum Annually: $4,200.00
MEFA Semester System (2 Terms Annually)
Freshman – Senior
- Base Grant: $62.50 x Number of Credits Enrolled
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $50.00 x Number of Credits Enrolled
- Enrolled into Bachelor’s Program: $25.00 x Number of Credits Enrolled
MEFA Quarter System (3 Terms Annually)
Freshman – Senior
- Base Grant: $41.66 x Number of Credits Enrolled
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $33.33 x Number of Credits Enrolled
- Enrolled into Bachelor’s Program: $16.66 x Number of Credits Enrolled
NOTE MEFA recipients' awards will be prorated based on the number of credits enrolled in and not eligible for the Incentive Award.
Eligible applicants will receive up to $8,000 per annum.
VOCATIONAL AND TRADE AID (VocAid)
- VocAid: $750.00
- Majoring in a Priority Field of Study: $600.00
Maximum term award: $1,350.00
GRADUATE SCHOOL STUDENT LOAN (GSSL)
Eligible applicants will be awarded $10,000 per annum.
